credit.jpgIf you plan to also book hotels or cars, check if the websites offer package deals on any combination of flight/hotel or flight/car rental. This can save you a great deal of money.

Talk with a travel agent.

They usually know where to find great deals on airfares and might be able to help you locate some hidden bargains. If you are planning a lengthy holiday they can also give great deals on cruises and tour packages. This is way cheaper than if you buy things individually.

They will ask for a service fee, but the money you save from their effort more than makes up for the fee.

Use a credit card that lets you collect points and miles.

Many people pay very cheap airfare (or none at all) simply because they take advantage of their collected miles. Financial planners often tell you to avoid using credit cards because you might get into debt; however, if you properly plan your budget and pay your credit card on time, you could enjoy huge savings on your airfare.
