What is a Realistic Traveling Budget?
Honestly, one you can afford. Take a look at how much you earn a month. How much are you able to set aside for a vacation? What items are you ready to give up in order for your vacation to become a reality? Perhaps you've been saving for a while and already have a few thousand dollars in the bank.
You do? Perfect. Well that's your realistic budget. If you desire to travel to Italy tomorrow yet only have a hundred dollars in the bank then you are not being sensible. However, it might be enough to get you in to the local amusement park for a few hours escape.
Above all else, be practical when setting your budget. Each traveler has their own needs for their own unique experience and if your plans include flights overseas, you will need to consequently budget for that.
Undoubtedly you will find great deals and get there cheaper than you expected; however, make certain that you have enough money to not only get you there but to travel around once you arrive, find a place to sleep, and, very importantly — enough money to be able to eat!
